Want to be our partner?
Auckland City is looking for a partner to help fund a $150,000 stadium.
The stadium is hoped to become New Zealand’s premier indoor events centre and will be located in the old railway yards near Auckland’s central city.
The idea has been booted around since last year when a collective of the region’s mayors approached the Hillary Commission for ideas on how they could meet the need for an indoor centre.
The Hillary Commission recommended stadium which could pull in top international acts with seating for around 12,000 people.
Impressed with the grandeur, the region’s mayors have been eager to get plans drafted and to find investors willing to back the idea.
