Auckland Police Shoot Knife Wielding Man

Police have shot a knife wielding man at the Auckland North Shore suburb of Greenhithe.
Police were called to a residential address after receiving a complaint that a man was threatening a person with a knife.
The man was shot by police after negotiations failed to defuse the situation.
He has been taken to North Shore Hospital. He condition has yet to be released.
