AUCKLAND CITY EVENING HEADLINES
MISSING WOMAN FOUND
A 71 year old woman who went missing from a central Auckland resthome last night has been found.
Ana Ramsey, who suffers from dementia, went missing at 7pm Monday. Police and resthome staff began a street search last night and alerted media to the missing woman this morning.
An Auckland City Council parks worker found Mrs Ramsey walking down the middle of One Tree Hill summit road in Cornwall Park, Epsom, at around midday today.
She has been returned to the resthome, and apart from being hungry and tired she is well.
TRIPLE FATALITY
Three teenage girls have been killed in a motor vehicle accident near Te Puke.
Police investigating the triple fatality say it appears the driver of the car mistakenly turned in front of the truck, apparently in an attempt to pull over to pick up a hitchhiker.
The three dead girls, all occupants of the car, were aged 16 to 17 years.
POWERCUTS HIT AUCKLAND
Albany based Internet Service Provider, Digital Edge, was forced offline from midday today for five hours after a power cut severed subscriber connections to the internet.
