Police can confirm a woman has died following a house fire in New Plymouth last night.
Emergency services were called to the house fire at a Devon Street address shortly after 11pm.
Sadly, the woman was found deceased at the scene.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the fire and her death are underway.
Police will remain at the scene today carrying out a scene examination.
