Arrest made over Albany Highway incident

Attribute to Detective Sergeant James Bolton, Waitematā East CIB:
Waitematā Police investigating an incident on Saturday night have charged a man.
Police received a number of calls from members of the public following the incident that occurred on the Albany Highway and left a male with serious injuries.
The driver allegedly involved has been arrested and charged.
The 22-year-old man will appear in the North Shore District Court on Friday charged with failing to stop to ascertain injury.
Police cannot rule out the possibility of further charges.
The man hospitalised after the incident remains in Auckland City Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
