"Motorists urged to take care near Hewlett's Road, Mount Maunganui"
Police are asking the public to take care on the roads following a large fire on Waimarie Street in Mount Maunganui.
Police were notified of the fire just after 9am.
There is a significant amount of smoke in the area, especially near Hewlett’s Road.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and be aware of potential delays.
