Southern Motorway incident - update

Published: Thu 9 May 2019 01:51 PM
The Southern Motorway near Ellerslie has been reopened following an incident earlier today.
Police have been working to reopen the road as quickly as possible since the incident this morning.
All four northbound lanes between the Ellerslie Panmure Highway on ramp and the Greenlane East off ramp are now open, but northbound traffic is still backed up to Mount Wellington.
Traffic is also slow southbound due to rubberneckers.
Police want to thank motorists for their patience.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
