Incident in Christchurch

Police are at an address in Phillipstown, Christchurch following a report of suspicious items at a property on Newcastle Street.
A 33- year-old man has been arrested and is currently speaking to Police in regards to the incident.
Cordons are in place and we are asking people to please avoid the area.
Houses on Newcastle, Glasgow and Harrow streets are being evacuated as a precaution.
The NZDF EOD team, Fire and Emergency New Zealand and St Johns are also in attendance.
A no fly zone is in place over the area.
