Police are responding to a report of a threat made by a person on a bus on Willis Street in central Wellington.
Police received the report at around 5:20pm.
Police are currently speaking to the person believed to have made the threat, and are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter.
Willis Street is cordoned off between Mercer Street and Lambton Quay.
Police ask people to avoid the area while enquiries are being made.
There is no further information at this time.
