Saturday 23 March summary
On Saturday one minor first aid took place at Muriwai which was self-managed by the lifesaving club. A minor search was
conducted at United North Piha and Kariaotahi for a daughter who lost her father. As the incident was concluded quickly
Surfcomm was not contacted for police referral.

Sunday 24 March summary
Muriwai beach had the peak headcount of 990 people on the beach. A total of six rescues took place across Orewa,
Muriwai, Bethells and Sunset Beach. The rescue at Orewa involved two dog owners and their two pets. All four patients
left in a stable condition. 11 assists were carried out at Muriwai and Bethells. Ruakaka and Pakiri also assisted
beachgoers from the water. Ruakaka had a busy day tasked by police to help in a search for two missing children that was
called off the children were turned up safe and sound. Orewa was also tasked by police to rescue a man in Stanmore Bay
who had come out of his kayak but managed to self-rescue in the few mintues after Orewa was tasked.
