"Crash - SH 2, Western Bay of Plenty"
Emergency services are at the scene of a crash on State Highway 2, Western Bay of Plenty.
The crash occurred at around 8.25pm, between Hot Springs Road and Lund Road.
Information from the scene indicates two cars were involved in the crash and one person has sustained serious injuries.
Police are requesting that motorists avoid the area while emergency services work at the crash scene.
Northbound traffic is currently being diverted via Lund Road.
