Update - homicide investigation continues in Motueka

Detective Inspector Craig Scott:
Police are continuing in relation to a homicide investigation that was launched in Motueka today.
Emergency services were called to a Memorial Drive address around 8:40pm yesterday, Sunday 10 February.
A 5-month-old baby was found dead at the scene.
A 41-year-old woman was also located at the address with serious injuries.
The woman was flown to Nelson Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police are continuing the scene examination today and are speaking with someone in relation to the death.
No charges have been laid but Police would like to assure the public they are not seeking anyone else.
There is not expected to be any further update today.
