Police are attending the scene of a serious crash on Auckland's Southern Motorway near Takanini.
The crash involved four cars and occurred about 10:05pm.
The southbound lanes are closed and Police will be closing a northbound lane.
Diversions will be put in place.
Road closures are expected to be in place for several hours and motorists should avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit will be examining the scene.
