Police have arrested and charged two females following an investigation into an aggravated robbery incident at a dairy in Tuakau on Sunday 6th January.
Three female offenders entered the store and stole cigarettes and other items, while one of the females also allegedly assaulted a dairy worker.
Two teenagers have been arrested and will be appearing in the Youth Court tomorrow on aggravated robbery charges.
Detective Sergeant Nathan Reid says enquiries are ongoing to locate the third offender who has now been identified.
Police are unable to rule out further charges.
“We know this incident caused considerable concern in the Tuakau community.
We want to thank local residents for their assistance in providing information to help identify those allegedly responsible.”
“Police and the public do not tolerate this type of behaviour and we want to reassure the community that we take these incidents extremely seriously.”
