Attribute to Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard:
Police are making enquiries after a nine-month-old baby died in Napier overnight.
Emergency services were called to a Napier home at 3.45am.
The baby was confirmed deceased a short time later.
Police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death, and we are speaking to a number of people who were at the house at the time.
At this stage the baby’s death is being treated as unexplained.
