Stabbing at Southland Boys High School

Detective Sergeant Sean Cairns:
A 14-year-old male has been remanded in custody following an incident at Southland Boys’ High School.
Another male student was stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors shortly before 2pm yesterday.
The injuries are not life-threatening and he is recovering well in hospital.
The 14-year-old appeared in Invercargill Youth Court this morning charged with Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm.
Enquiries are ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
