Some traffic in the centre of Wellington is being diverted this morning after power lines have come down.
Police were made aware around 6:05am.
Streets reportedly affected include Panama Street, Featherston Street, Hunter Street and Customhouse Quay.
Motorists and bus passengers are asked to have patience.
