Chance to take a holiday break during Town Centre upgrade

Published: Tue 23 Oct 2018 04:29 PM
While many people come to Whitianga for a holiday, for locals wanting to take a break during the town centre upgrade, now is a good time to travel with YOU Travel Whitianga offering discounted prices on any comprehensive travel insurance policy.
Monett Johnston has owned YOU Travel in Whitianga since 1980. Before this she was working in the travel industry in Auckland. It was the Whitianga atmosphere with the local beaches that attracted Monett Johnston from the big city to small town paradise.
“I love the sea, community and cycling that Whitianga has to offer," says Monett.
As the final stage of the Town Centre main street upgrade continues, along Albert St from Blacksmith Lane through to Campbell Street, YOU Travel are still welcoming anyone to come in and visit their store. They are also offering 25% off any comprehensive travel insurance policy until 31 October. To claim this please visit them in store at 75 Albert street - they are open five days a week.
“During the town centre upgrade we have definitely seen less foot traffic, we don’t see those spontaneous walk-in customers, but because of our lovely loyal clients business is relatively good," says Monett.
“I do feel very positive about what the upgrade will bring to the future. Change is great for the community, and people are already enjoying the spaces that have been revamped already," says Monett.
Like most businesses, YOU Travel relies on a loyal customer base “I would like to thank all our loyal customers, we appreciate your support through the town centre upgrade," says Monett.
