"Woman dies following Taupo crash"
Attributable to Senior Sergeant Fane Troy, Road Policing Manager Taupo:
A woman has died after being involved in a crash in Taupo last week.
On Tuesday 18 September, around 6:30pm, emergency services were called to a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Rifle Range Road.
The crash occurred on a pedestrian crossing, and as a result a female pedestrian was transported to Rotorua Hospital.
The pedestrian, 38-year-old Meredith Vowles of Taupo, died on Friday 21 September.
Police are continuing with their investigation into the cause of the crash, and would like to hear from anybody who may have witnessed what happened.
