Please attribute to Detective Sergeant Darryl Brazier:
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have information about the cars stolen in an aggravated burglary at a home on Waterford Park Drive, Papamoa early this morning.
Initial enquiries have established that the two male offenders were specifically targeting this address.
For that reason, there is no need for members of the public to be alarmed following this incident.
The offenders left the scene in a 2011 black Holden Commodore and a 1998 Silver BMW.
Police believe people may have seen these vehicles travelling in convoy between Waterford Park Drive and Mount Maunganui between 4:30-5am.
If anyone has seen these vehicles, or has other information which may assist with the Police investigation, we encourage them to ring Tauranga Police immediately on 577 4300.
Information can also be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
