"Homicide investigation in Upper Hutt"
Attributable to Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Martin:
Emergency services were called to a scene on Golders Road, Upper Hutt shortly before 4:30pm this afternoon to reports a
man had been stabbed.
Despite efforts to revive him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested a male at a nearby address for assault, and are currently speaking with him.
A scene guard is in place at Golders Road and Police are continuing a scene examination.
There is not thought to be any risk to the public at this time, however the Police investigation into what happened
continues.
