"Woman rescued at Lake Taupo"
Police and other emergency services attended reports of a swimmer in distress at Lake Taupo at about 10am this morning.
The person was seen by a member of the public 50 metres from shore.
With the assistance of the Coastguard and the Harbourmaster, a woman was rescued at approximately 10.30pm.
