Please attribute to Detective Inspector Tofilau Faa Vaaelua, Counties Manukau Field Crime Manager:
Police enquiries are ongoing as the investigation continues into the Mangere homicide incident on Buckland Road.
Police are now able to release the name of the victim.
She was 17-year-old Demetrius Pairama from Auckland.
Police are continuing to offer support to her family and our deepest sympathies are with them at this tragic time.
Detective Inspector Tofilau Faa Vaaelua says Police are still working to establish all of the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“We are confident that through our enquiries we will ultimately determine what has transpired at this vacant property,” says Detective Inspector Vaaelua.
Police can confirm that no one has been charged at this stage in relation to this death.
