"Update: Dallington fatal hit-and-run"
Attribute to Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Cottam
Police have interviewed the driver of the vehicle believed to be involved in the fatal hit-and-run in Dallington.
As a result of reviewing CCTV footage that Police had located, and that members of the public had supplied, Police were focused on a particular type of vehicle.
Following good old fashioned police work, an eagle-eyed Detective saw a vehicle matching the description with damage consistent with the crash in the driveway of an address several kilometres away from the scene.
The vehicle owner has been interviewed and is helping Police with ongoing enquiries.
A forensic examination of the vehicle is still being carried out and a decision on charges will be made in due course.
Police would once again like to thank members of the public for their help.
