"Second arrest in connection with Hastings assault"
Police have arrested a 25-year-old Hastings man for the assault of two people earlier this month.
The charges follow an alleged unprovoked attack on Riverslea Road in Hastings on 13 June.
Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard said the two victims required hospital treatment and will make slow recoveries from their injuries.
“This arrest is in addition to the arrest of a 33-year-old man last week and no one else is being sought in relation to this incident.
We have had tremendous support from the public, which we are very grateful for, and we continue to ask that anyone with additional information come forward to local Police or Crimestoppers (0800 555 111).”
The 25-year-old man is due to appear in Hastings District Court tomorrow.
