"Wellington Police seeking sightings of vehicle"
Wellington Police are seeking sightings of a vehicle seen travelling the wrong way along State Highway 1 this evening.
Police received more than 20 calls from members of the public at around 5pm, reporting a small white car travelling north on the southbound lanes at Tawa.
The white car clipped another car, causing that to clip another, before the white car did a U-turn and resumed travelling south, in the correct lanes.
Police estimate it drove the wrong way on the motorway for approximately 2 kilometres.
Police are making inquiries into the actions of the white car, however are also seeking further information from the public.
