"Man injured while duck shooting"
Police and Ambulance were called to a rural property in the western districts area of Southland this morning, after a 46-year-old man suffered a shotgun wound to his leg while duck shooting.
The man’s injury is not life-threatening and he has been transported to Invercargill Hospital by helicopter.
A number of other adults were present at the time the man was injured and enquiries are ongoing to confirm exactly how the injury occurred.
