"Flooding in the Coromandel - stay off the roads"
There is surface flooding, slips and heavy rain hitting the Coromandel.
Police are not aware of anyone being injured in weather-related events at this stage.
However we continue to monitor the situation and work with our emergency service partners.
Motorists are being asked to please follow the directions of emergency services and roading contractors as some local
roads are closed.
Non-essential travel should be delayed and drivers are being urged to take extra care.
