"Police attending serious crash in Waiuku"
Police are in attendance at a serious crash in Waiuku on Awhitu Road involving two vehicles.
One person is in a critical condition.
Two other people have also received injuries.
The Westpac helicopter is attending the scene.
A section of Awhitu road is blocked and diversions are in place at the intersections of Taurangaruru Road and Kaihau Road.
Motorists in the Waiuku township area are advised to delay their travel if possible due to the cordons in place and avoid the area if possible.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
