Woman recovering in hospital following Maraenui stabbing, Napier

The 25-year-old woman who was stabbed in Maraenui on Saturday (12 May) is recovering in hospital, and is being supported by family.
Police have not yet formally interviewed her due to the nature of her injuries.
A scene examination has been completed at the Kelvin Road property and neighbours are being spoken to.
The incident is believed to be as a result of a family harm event and Police would like to reassure local residents there is nothing to indicate the wider community is at risk.
