Ashburton Police seek aggravated robbery information

" Ashburton Police seeking information following aggravated robbery"
Attributable to Senior Sergeant Philip Dean, Sub-Area Commander Ashburton
Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at the Ashburton Discount Dairy last night.
The offenders entered the dairy on Alford Forest Road at around 8.20pm armed with a long barrelled firearm.
After threatening a staff member and stealing cash the offender has fled on foot along Clark Street.
The offender is described as a male with silver tape or a mask over his face, he was wearing an orange hi-vis top over blue clothing.
Police would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured or anyone who was in the area of the Ashburton Discount Dairy last night after 8pm and may have noticed anything suspicious.
