Aircraft in Rolleston struck by red laser light

"Aircraft in Rolleston struck by red laser light from ground"
At about 8.30pm on Sunday 15 April, a Mt Cook ATR72 plane flying over Rolleston was struck with a red laser from the ground.
The origins of the laser was in the vacinity of Beaumont Drive and Strauss Drive, Rolleston.
Police wish to highlight the dangers of such actions where it could lead to the potential loss of an aircraft or someone's life.
If anyone has any information in relation to this event they can contact Senior Constable Glen Tweedie or Sergeant Grant Stewart of the Rolleston Police.
