Police have today seized cash, drugs and an illegal firearm following a search warrant in Alexandra this morning.
Three people were arrested and a substantial amount of cash, several grams of methamphetamine, cannabis and an illegal firearm, along with loaded magazine, were seized at the Centennial Avenue address.
The search warrant and subsequent arrests occurred without incident and two people, a 29-year-old male and a 20-year-old female, are due to appear at the Alexandra District Court this afternoon.
They have been charged with possession for supply of methamphetamine, possession for supply of cannabis and unlawful possession of a restricted firearm.
The other person was released without charge.
Police had received information from members of the community about the distribution of methamphetamine in the wider Alexandra area and we would like to thank them for their help which has assisted in today’s arrests.
Alexandra Police do not tolerate the supply of illegal drugs in our community and remind people that while you may think your information is minor, it matters to us. We encourage anyone with information about any criminal activity to contact their local Police Station.
