Hamilton Police have made an arrest in relation to the sexual and physical assault of a mother and her daughter in St Andrews, Hamilton on the weekend.
“A male, aged 16, will be appearing in the Hamilton Youth Court tomorrow charged with a number of serious offences," says Detective Senior Sergeant Dean Anderson.
"We have informed the victims of the arrest and they have expressed their relief."
"We would like to thank members of the public, particularly in the St Andrews area, that kindly engaged with our staff during the course of enquiries."
"Police would still like to hear from anyone that may have information relevant to the investigation."
