Hamilton police are seeking public assistance in relation to a serious incident that occurred in St.
Andrews, Hamilton, on Saturday 7 April.
Between 7.00 and 7.45am that morning, an unknown man entered a residential address on Croall Crescent in St Andrews, Hamilton.
A woman was sexually assaulted, and her young daughter physically assaulted.
The man then left the address, cut across neighbouring properties, and ran into the grounds of the Hamilton Junior High School on Heath Street.
The woman and her daughter are being supported by Police, specialist services and family.
The man is described as:
• Māori
• Aged mid-20s
• Stocky shoulders
• No facial hair
• Short hair (No.1 or No.2 cut) coloured black or brown
• Wearing a red t shirt, black long pants and black shoes
If anyone has information about this man, or may have seen anyone matching this description in the Heath Street, Bryant Road or Sandwich Road areas around this time on Saturday morning, please contact Hamilton Police.
