Police appeal for information following Hauraki incident

Police are investigating an incident which was reported to have taken place at an address in Hauraki on Tuesday 3rd April.
An occupant at the property has encountered an unknown male who has entered the house around 5.15pm.
A brief tussle is reported to have taken place before the male has left the address.
The same male is believed to have been seen on the property around 12.30pm earlier that day.
Police are appealing for any sightings of suspicious behaviour in the Hauraki area on Tuesday afternoon.
The male is described as dark skinned, with short, dark hair and is believed to have been wearing black jeans and a black ribbed long-sleeve shirt.
He is also described as aged between 30-45 years and between 180–190 cms tall.
Police are aware of discussions on social media about this incident and encourage anyone with information about this incident to contact Police directly.
Police are treating this investigation seriously and urge community members to avoid unnecessary speculation which can lead to incorrect information being published online.
