Man stabbed in Motueka
Nelson Bays Police are investigating an incident in Motueka overnight in which a man suffered multiple stab wounds.
Detective Sergeant Mark Kaveney said Police were called by ambulance staff about 2am to a property in High St Motueka where a man, aged in his 40s, had serious injuries.
He has undergone surgery at Nelson Hospital.
Police are speaking with one person in relation to the incident and are interviewing others living at the property to try and establish exactly what has occurred.
No charges have yet been laid.
Police would like to speak with anyone else who witnessed the incident and ask that they call Motueka Police on 528 1220.
