Two arrested for Southland burglaries
Police have arrested two men in relation to a number of burglaries in Southland over the past few weeks.
The men, both aged in their 30s, were arrested in Owaka yesterday (Tuesday 20 March) and charged with burglary.
They are due to appear in Dunedin District Court today.
Senior Sergeant Maggie Windle says Police were able to recover some property, which may belong to tourists visiting the area.
"Anyone who witnesses a crime or suspicious behaviour is urged to call Police on 111, or anonymously on 0800 Crimestoppers.
"We want to know what criminal activity is occurring in our communities, and we have staff who are always ready to help."
