"Arrest following Invercargill assault"

A 27-year-old Invercargill man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated robbery following an attack on a
man at the corner of Ythan and Janet Streets, in Appleby, Invercargill, on Friday 16 February.
The man is due to appear in Invercargill District Court today.
A 16-year-old man is already facing charges in relation to the assault, he will also be facing a charge of attempted
murder when he next appears in the Invercargill Youth Court.
The 23-year-old victim has been released from hospital after this vicious attack and is recovering in the care of his
family.
Police believe there were others involved in this incident and we would like to hear from anyone who may have
