Woman dies following Tauranga incident overnight

A 37-year-old woman has died after an incident in Tauranga overnight.
Police were called a local marae at 11.50pm.
The woman had suffered injuries to her neck and was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
She died from her injuries a short time later.
Police are speaking to a 21-year-old man in relation to the death.
Further information, including details of any charges and court appearance, will be provided as soon as possible.
