Police Ten7 viewers asked for help on a Christchurch assault

Christchurch Police are asking Police Ten 7 viewers to help tonight with information about a serious assault on a male security guard at the Riccarton Park Racecourse.
The victim now has likely permanent loss of vision in one eye.
The assault happened about 12.15am on Sunday, 19 November 2017. This was at the end of Cup Week in Christchurch.
Two men approached the security officer who was seated in his car.
The doors were wrenched open and an item was smashed in the victim’s face. He was also punched in the face.
