Police are assessing the next step in the search for the 54-year-old man Kevin Hartley.
He was last seen driving a quad bike from Parewanui Road, Scott's Ferry to the beach towards the bombing range tower in Santoft Forest on Friday evening last week (16 February).
After five days of searching Police have failed to find Kevin, despite the enormous effort by all the agencies and volunteer civilians involved.
This has been a very difficult time for Kevin’s family and Police continue to liaise closely with them.
There will be no active searching for the next two days while the search data to date is reviewed and planning is undertaken to recommence searching in the weekend.
Police are enormously grateful for the hospitality provided by the Bulls Fire Service and the local community.
