Police searching for wanted Northland man Rawiri Ihaka

Inspector Rik Whiu, Area Commander, Far North Police:
Police are currently searching for 44-year-old Rawiri Teruru Ihaka, who has a warrant for his arrest in relation to assaulting a person with a firearm.
Ihaka is wanted by police in connection to an incident in Ahipara on Monday where a firearm was discharged at a property.
He is described as medium build, 182 cms tall and can be identified by a tattoo of a cross on his right forearm.
Ihaka is considered dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.
