"Witnesses sought to Hamilton assault"
Hamilton Police are seeking information in relation to an assault in Hamilton East overnight.
At around 2am today, February 11, a woman in her early 20s was approached by a man driving a dark-coloured sedan on Grey Street.
The man has approached the woman and dragged her into his vehicle, where he has assaulted her before leaving her on the roadside.
The woman was shaken and is being supported by Police and Victim Support.
The man is described as Maori, approximately 30 years old, with short hair and wearing a black jumper.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or whose property has CCTV footage of the Grey Street area between Anzac Parade and the Hamilton East Primary School dip.
