"Investigation into serious assault on Sewell Street, Linwood "
Attribute to Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Ford:
Christchurch Police are currently investigating a serious assault that occurred on Sewell Street, Linwood last night,
Saturday 20 January.
The assault occurred around 11:10pm and the victim is now in Christchurch hospital with serious head injuries.
A scene examination has commenced today and investigators are gathering evidence, speaking with witnesses and liaising
with the victim’s family.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Sewell Street area around 11.00pm last night and noticed anything
out of the ordinary.
