Police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with a fire in Invercargill in the early hours of 9 January.
Police were notified of the building fire around 1am on Tuesday.
The building was extensively damaged in the fire, however no one was injured.
The 17-year-old has been charged with arson and burglary and will appear in Invercargill District Court tomorrow.
A 16-year-old is also helping Police with their enquiries.
Police would like to thank members of the public who came forward and assisted during the investigation.
We would like to reassure the public we have identified the persons responsible and there is no ongoing risk to the community.
The victim in this matter has been advised of the arrests and is being supported by his friends and Police .
