Name release - Wakapatu Beach drowning

"Name release - Wakapatu Beach drowning"
Police can now name the man who died while snorkeling at Wakapatu Beach, Southland on 30 December 2017.
He was Richard Hepi Tautari, 68, from Invercargill.
Mr Tautari's family have asked Police to thank the members of the public who helped bring Mr Tautari to shore, as well as the many volunteer emergency service members who attended the scene.
Mr Tautari's death has been referred to the Coroner.
