Look out for the City Mission’s Star Car for your chance to enter their exciting Christmas Raffle!
This November and December keep an eye out for the Wellington City Mission’s iconic Star Car at a mall or supermarket near you.
The eye-catching car will be cruising around Greater Wellington as part of The Mission’s Christmas Star Appeal and selling tickets to their exciting Christmas Raffle! The first place you can catch it is at Johnsonville Mall this Friday 10 – Sunday 12 November.
It’s the second year The Mission is hosting a Christmas Raffle and there are some incredible prizes up for grabs, worth a total of over $25,000! Each ticket puts you in the draw for one of the nine prizes including a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage, a $2,500 STA travel voucher, a Samsung 43” UHD 4K Smart TV, and an overnight stay (including meals) at Hotel Intercontinental.
Raffle tickets are only $5 each, or $20 for a book of five, and all the proceeds support The Mission’s Christmas Star Appeal – helping make a life-changing difference for families and individuals in need. People can also make a donation to the appeal via cash or eftpos when they see the Star Car, and then sign their name on one of the thousands of stars it’s decorated in.
Wellington City Mission Marketing & Fundraising Manager Robbie Ross said: “We’re always seeking to make the experience of donating fun, while at the same time giving people the opportunity to support those who most need help."
Last year at Christmas The Mission was able to feed approximately 3,000 people through Christmas food parcels and provide kids with over 9,300 gifts to enjoy on Christmas Day. They were also able to support 31 other agencies throughout Greater Wellington, making a real difference right across the region.
Special thanks to Mitsubishi Motors NZ for generously lending the Star Cars to The Mission for November and December. Thanks also to Star Car supporters EFTPOS NZ, Countdown, New World, The Warehouse, Pak’n Save, Johnsonville Mall, Queensgate Mall, and North City.
