Police seek witnesses for Blockhouse Bay incident

On Wednesday, 25 October 2017 at approximately 4pm a 14-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road on Heaphy Street, Blockhouse Bay.
The teen received moderate injuries and was taken to hospital.
At the time the driver of the vehicle that struck him, got out and spoke to the victim but left the scene without leaving any details.
Police would like to speak with this person.
The female driver is described as being middle aged, of European descent and of solid build with short pink hair. The vehicle she was driving is described as an early model blue Toyota Rav 4 SUV. The spare tyre on the back of the vehicle has a black cover and a silver fern logo with the word New Zealand written underneath.
Police are conducting area enquires which includes reviewing CCTV footage but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or knows who the driver is.
