"Mataura home invasion to feature on Police Ten 7"
Southland detectives are hoping Police Ten 7 viewers will help with information about a Mataura home invasion and stabbing which features on Thursday’s programme.
An elderly man spent several days in hospital after an unknown male entered the victim’s home on Saturday night, 17 June, in Main Street, Mataura, demanded money before stabbing the victim and leaving.
Detective Sergeant Greg Baird, Invercargill Police, said this was an unprovoked and violent assault, and one in which viewers can help police.
Watch Police Ten 7, 7.30pm, TVNZ 2 on Thursday night, 14 September.
The programme is repeated on Plus 1 and the Mataura case will be on Police Ten 7 Facebook once the programme has screened.
